About priority samurai

Stephen Covey once said: “If the ladder is not leaning against the right wall, every step we take gets us to the wrong place faster”

Many people find it hard to identify their priorities. It’s even harder to translate these priorities into daily actions when we’re swamped by a sea of reactive tasks, a flurry of email notifications, and a barrage of meetings.

Priority Samurai will help you identify and progress your priorities, each day, week, and year.

We will discuss practical strategies for managing your time and attention, enabling you to focus on what matters most across your work and personal life.

  • Overview – understand why we struggle to prioritise our tasks on a daily basis.
  • Big thinking – make space to dream big and figure out what you really want to accomplish by;
    • Setting rhythms to think strategically week by week.
    • Developing a 12-month goal for your work and personal life.
  • Weekly focus – activate the power of the weekly perspective by;
    • Breaking down annual goals into projects and tasks.
    • Reviewing and scheduling the five most important tasks (‘big rocks’) each week.
    • Setting aside time in your calendar to focus on deep work (‘time blocking’).
  • Daily execution – operate from a daily to-do list by;
    • Creating a mini-plan for each day using most important tasks (‘MIT’s’).
    • Start with the hardest task first and other methods to beat procrastination.
  • Long-term thinking – reflect on the value of a life-plan and explore other long-term planning tools.
